Templeogue United Football Club
Teams are being asked to recommence their training on the all-weather based on the allocations from the first half of the season. There will be a small number of slots available in the late evening on some nights.
If you need to change your existing slot please try to arrange a swap with somebody else. The bulk of the schedule will remain the same. If you currently have two training slots and need only one please email email@example.com.. Any teams not using their slots may find that they will be allocated to another team.
There are a couple of teams not included on this schedule, they should continue to us the grass, and send an email to the above address.
We have a growing number of teams all of whom need training slots, so please bear with us.

Pitch Development Update
Following discussions between SDCC, Prunty (Contractor) and the Pitch Consultant, Templeogue United and St Judes have been informed that our Pitch Development has been deferred until next Spring.
The rational for the deferral is that there is too much risk to the success of the project by starting it in September.
The main concerns are;
- Likelihood of unfavourable weather causing delays to the project.
- Unfavourable weather may result in an inferior finished pitch due to soil compaction.
- In a delayed construction scenario, significant parts of the Park could be out of commission to the public for up to 9 months.
Work on the project is now scheduled to commence in mid-March 2018.
While it is disappointing that the project has been delayed, the priority is to ensure that the project is not compromised by taking unnecessary risks.
11 Players Head Off to Reading
Tomorrow sees 11 of our underage players travel across the water to train with the Reading FC academy at their respective age groups for 3 days.
This is a great opportunity for the development of our players and a credit to the club. Last year we had 5 teams travel to Reading to play against their academy teams and this next step shows our continued growth of relationship with Reading FC.
We would like to wish all the boys well and look forward to the Reading coaches coming over at the end of the month to carry out a 3 day workshop and coaches presentation.

Our U12 A team traveled to Reading FC recently. They played two games against the Reading Academy, they won the Friday night game against the development squad 6-4. Still tired from their hard work on the previous night the played the Academy squad on Saturday morning, loosing 2-1 in a hard fought contest. .
That afternoon they attended the Reading game against Bristol City. All of the children behaved impeccably and were a credit to the Club and their parents.
